Thefts
Loretta Ingram of Sherwood said she left her Rixie Road residence to take her son to work and noticed that the basketball goal on her property was missing. Value of the basketball goal is $100.
Oct. 8
Thefts
Pamela Holden of Romance said her debit card was stolen Oct. 1 by a woman and was used at several locations, including the Shell station in the Gravel Ridge area. The card was used three times at the Shell station on Oct. 3. Holden said the card was stolen from her car, but she did not know in what jurisdiction.
Dewey McAllister, 44, of Sherwood was arrested on a charge of theft by receiving after police observed him riding a mountain bike down Hemphill Road. Police were notified a few days before that two mountain bikes had been stolen from the area of Merrywood Street and that McAllister was a possible suspect. The description of the stolen mountain bike fit the description of the bicycle that McAllister was riding. When McAllister was confronted, he said he had borrowed it from a friend who lived up the road. The owner of the bike, Justin Smith, was contacted and he made a positive identification. The bike was returned to Smith at the scene.
Robin Weeks of Sherwood said when she walked to the garage of her Woodruff Creek Road home, she noticed that her husband's bicycle was missing. She was unable to determine exactly when it was taken. The bicycle was valued at $1,200.
Ken Anderson, general manager of H2O Sports on Rixie Road, said he had installed a motor on a boat, and had moved it onto a lot on the north side of the building that morning. In the afternoon, he walked outside and noticed it was missing. The motor, a battery and a battery box were all taken. Total value of the stolen property is $2,560.

Thefts
Charlotte Stewart of North Little Rock said she and her daughter went inside Harvest Foods on Kiehl Avenue to shop, using debit card in her pocket. When she and her daughter returned home, she noticed that her purse was missing from her vehicle.
Police were dispatched to Zaxby's Restaurant on Brookswood Road in response to a commercial burglary. Damage to a safe located inside the office area was observed. No suspects have been identified.
Michael Urena of Sherwood reported a theft of his silver four-door 2007 Nissan Titan pickup from his driveway on Ann Street. Urena was on vacation and his brother noticed the truck missing. The value of the truck is $34,000.
Kevin Lemons of Sherwood said an unknown amount of medication from a prescription filled 13 days before, was left in his vehicle and stolen from his glove compartment. Lemons said the time of the theft is unknown; he said the vehicle was parked near his Arkansas 107 house under a carport.
Henry Gilkey of Sherwood said someone took a black handbag from his vehicle while he was inside the EZ Mart on Kiehl Avenue. The handbag contained a Smith & Wesson .38-caliber revolver. The value of the revolver is $200.
Incidents
Louis Porch said when he returned to his Carnelian Drive home in the afternoon, he found his mailbox destroyed. The brick mailbox was lying half in the front yard and half in the driveway. Tire tracks were detected in the grass beside the base of the cleared brick foundation and a tire skid mark along the curbside.
Accidents
Deborah Krutz of Sherwood said she was backing out of a parking spot at the Sonic parking lot on Arkansas 107 when her drivers side mirror made contact with the right rear quarter panel of a vehicle driven by Christopher Hall of Carlisle. Both vehicles sustained $50 in damage. Krutz was found to be at fault for backing into a parked vehicle.
Arrests
Karen L. Jennings, 45, of North Little Rock was arrested on charges of third-degree domestic battery, public intoxication and disorderly conduct after police were dispatched to the Casa Mexicana restaurant on East Kiehl Avenue in response to a report of a fight.
Oct. 6
Thefts
Joyce Botkins, 41, of North Little Rock was arrested on a charge of shoplifting after police were dispatched to the Wal-Mart Supercenter on Arkansas 107. Travis Worley, an employee of Wal-Mart, said he saw Botkins in the grocery side of the store placing multiple items in Wal-Mart sacks and then attempting to exit the store without paying for the items. The value of the items equaled $289.34.
Donna Shaw, owner of T-Ricks on Arkansas 107, said a woman parked at a pump and waved at the cashier clerk. The pump was turned on and the woman put six gallons of fuel into her vehicle and drove off without paying.
Justin Smith of Sherwood said someone had taken two mountain bikes from his North Claremont Drive yard, along with a roadside assistance tool kit. The value of the bikes are $150.
Lori Krasney of Sherwood said she left her East Kiehl Avenue apartment unlocked and was going to the store when she noticed two men at the bottom of the stairs who asked her if she had any beer. She said no. When she returned to her apartment about 15 minutes later, she said, someone had rummaged through her apartment. A digital pattern cortex jacket, portable DVD player and tactical vest were missing. The items are valued at $650.
Arrests
Doyce L. McArthur, 60, of Jacksonville was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated, following too closely, leaving the scene of an accident and no proof of insurance after police were dispatched to a residence on Brockington Road in reference to a report of an accident. Janet Croy of Sherwood said that the front bumper of McArthur's truck had made contact with the rear bumper of her vehicle. Croy said McArthur stopped in the roadway, stated he had no damage and got back in his truck and left, heading toward Arkansas 107. Police made contact with McArthur at the Shell station on Arkansas 107 and Jacksonville Cutoff Road.
Accidents
Louis Hill of Little Rock was backing his Ford pickup truck on the Sakura restaurant parking lot on East Kiehl Avenue, he said, when he struck a vehicle driven by Ray Anthony Young, a Ben E. Keith delivery truck driver. Young's vehicle sustained $20 in damage while Hill's vehicle had $400 in damage.

Accidents
Paul Oaks of Maumelle said he was driving eastbound on Kiehl Avenue in the outside lane when he saw a vehicle driven by Karen Mott of Jacksonville slowing down to turn in front of him. Oaks said he tried to stop but his car started to slide on the wet pavement. He was unable to turn his car as it slid and he was unable to avoid hitting the rear of Mott's car. Mott's vehicle sustained $500 in damage while Oaks' vehicle had $600. Oaks was found to be at fault for the accident for driving too fast for conditions.
Daniel Ashley of North Little Rock said he was eastbound on Kiehl Avenue in the inside lane and saw a vehicle driven by Shane Bagwell of Beebe stopped westbound on Kiehl Avenue, waiting to turn into Rally's drive-in. Ashley said as he passed, the drivers side mirrors of the two vehicles hit. Bagwell's vehicle sustained $100 in damage. Ashley was found at fault for careless driving.
Joanna St. Clair of Sherwood said she was coming out of the Wendy's restaurant parking lot on Arkansas 107 with plans to go south. Traffic was in both northbound lanes and she could not see around them. Both drivers in the northbound lanes stopped to allow her out of the driveway. She said she pulled out and did not see a vehicle driven by Mary Neppl of North Little Rock traveling north in the turn lane and struck the right front corner of Neppl's vehicle. Neppl's vehicle sustained $750 in damage, while St.Clair’s vehicle had $750 in damage.
Thefts
Cody Church of Sherwood said he noticed his firefighter equipment missing from his Brookswood Road property. Church said he was unsure how the intruder gained entry and that several items had turned up missing over the past three months.
Sherilyn Miller of Sherwood said her car was parked on the road in front of her Hillwood Road residence with her purse inside on Oct. 3. Miller said her purse is missing; it had her identification card and Social Security card inside.
Arrests
Fred Bump, 39, of Sherwood was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated-third offense and careless/prohibited driving after police observed his black Hummer leave the gas station in the Harvest Foods parking lot on East Kiehl Avenue, drive over the pedestrian sidewalk and enter the outside westbound lane of East Kiehl.
Courtney Jones, 19, of Sherwood was arrested on charges of suspicion of driving while intoxicated when police were dispatched to the Phillips 66 station on Wildwood Avenue in response to a report of a possible drunk driver. Police saw Jones attempting to place the key in the ignition when they arrived, but he was fumbling with the keys and when they confronted her, she stated that she had not been drinking but had taken two muscle relaxants she had obtained from a friend.
Incidents
David Crafton of Sherwood was found unconscious at All Stars Bar on Warden Road, where an unidentified man had hit him and run away from the business. Crafton had a knot on the back of his head. A search of the area was conducted with negative results.
Diana Morgan of Sherwood said she returned to her residence on Trammel Road and saw that someone had damaged her mailbox. Police observed found parts of the mailbox lying in the street and yard. The pole was erected and had been shattered at its base.
Oct. 4
Arrests
Kyle Clark, 23, of Jacksonville was arrested on charges of DWI and refusal to submit to a blood alcohol content exam after police saw his vehicle coming from the closed business of Pinney Family Dentist on Country Club Road. Police turned the cruiser around and got behind the vehicle at the stop sign on Coolhurst Road and Dovecote Road.
Dewey McAllister, 44, of Sherwood was arrested on a charge of public intoxication after police saw him fall off his bicycle in front of Capital Equipment on Landers Road.
George Grande, 20, of Cabot was arrested on a charge of public intoxication after police observed him walking in the parking lot of George Haas Eye Clinic on East Kiehl swaying side-to-side and struggling to keep his balance.
Thefts
Roshunda Nance of Sherwood said when she and her children returned from the movies, someone had stolen her Obama-Biden '08 political sign from her East Lee Avenue yard.
Brittany Ott of Sherwood said she bought some food from the McDonalds restaurant inside the Wal-Mart Supercenter and went to eat in the break room when she noticed that her wallet was missing. She then went back to the counter and asked employees if they had seen her wallet, but they said they had not. Ott went back to the break room to check once more and found items that were inside her wallet lying on the table.
Stanley Rogers of Sherwood said he parked his maroon 2001 Suzuki motorcycle in front of his apartment at the Links Apartments on East Kiehl Avenue early in the morning and when he came out, his motorcycle was gone. The motorcycle was parked in a narrow space between two trucks. The cover was on the ground where the motorcycle should have been, and in the grass behind it the lock was found that was on the front tire. The value of the motorcycle is $8,000.
Oct. 3
Accidents
Shannon Baker of Sherwood said she was stopped at the traffic light at the intersection of Arkansas 107 and Kiehl Avenue, facing north on Arkansas 107. Her foot slipped off the brakes and hit the gas pedal, striking the rear of a vehicle driven by Carla Nettles of Sherwood who was directly in front of her. Nettle's vehicle sustained $400 in damage while Baker's vehicle had $500 in damage.
Sandra Hardcastle of North Little Rock said she was driving northbound on Arkansas 107 behind a vehicle driven by Kelvin Parker of Jacksonville when Parker made a sudden stop and her vehicle hit the rear of his Toyota. Parker's vehicle sustained $800 in damage, while Hardcastle's vehicle had $300 in damage. Hardcastle was found at fault for following too closely.
Steve Thomas Jr. and Scott said he was in the parking lot of Wal-Mart Supercenter on Arkansas 107 when a white Toyota Avalon sideswiped his vehicle and left the scene. Damages to Thomas' vehicle are in the amount of $900.
Thefts
Paula Ferguson of Cabot said she noticed that her license plate was missing from her vehicle. She said she parks the vehicle inside her garage and believes the theft occurred at her business on East Kiehl Avenue.
Abdul Abunasrah of Sherwood said he had sold a vehicle to Joshua Schonfeld of Hattesville, Md., through an Internet transaction. The 2002 Mercedes S430 was shipped to Maryland to be picked up by Schonfeld. During the time of shipment, a third party contacted United Traders and informed them that he received a title for the 2002 Mercedes, which he did not purchase. Abunasrah contacted Maryland authorities and they advised him to report the vehicle as stolen.
Arrests
James Brock, 45, of Jacksonville was arrested on two counts of forgery after police were dispatched to the Wal-Mart on Arkansas 107 in regards to a forgery report. Brock had cashed a money telegram in the amount of $850 and came back the next day with another document for the same amount. The telegram did not have a thermal device on it that works. Customer service contacted Moneygram and advised that the first document was cashed Aug. 23 for $5.25 in Alabama.
Dewey McAllister, 44, of Sherwood was arrested on a charge for criminal trespass after police were dispatched to property on Cherry Road. McAllister was seen walking away in an easterly direction through woods. Police located him at Brockington and Calloway roads and said McAllister was intoxicated and was stumbling. When he saw police, he darted into a nearby trailer, where police found him.
Sarah Marsh, 21, of Clinton was arrested on a charge of public intoxication after police were dispatched to Cedaridge Road regarding an intoxicated person. When police arrived, they saw Marsh walking through a yard on the corner of Cedaridge Road and Willowridge Road.
Kathryn Sadler, 25, of Sherwood was arrested on charges of public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance after police were dispatched to the area of Randall Road in reference to a call about a female appearing to be in distress. When police arrived, they observed Sadler throw a beer can on the ground. When police confronted her, Sadler said she was waiting for her boyfriend. When she was being escorted to the patrol unit, Sadler provided her identification and when police were placing her license inside her purse, they observed a plastic bag with a green leafy substance.
Bobby Spradlin, 58, of North Little Rock was arrested on charges of possession with intent to sell (a Class Y felony), possession of drug paraphernalia (Class D felony) and driving with a suspended drivers license after police observed his truck heading westbound on Jacksonville Cutoff Road with a right brake light that was not working properly. Police stopped the vehicle and when officers approached the vehicle, both Spradlin and his passenger, Ty Reed, 44, of Sherwood, appeared very nervous. Spradlin produced an Arkansas identification card, saying he did not have a driver's license. Police saw Reed moving around in the truck, appearing restless and was asked to step out of the truck. A personal search was conducted. Spradlin was asked if any weapons were in the truck and he said no and insisted that the vehicle be searched. Police then found a plastic bag that contained white powder consistent with the texture of methamphetamine. Reed was also arrested in the incident on charges of possession with intent (Y felony) and possession of drug paraphernalia (D felony).
Carrie Scales, 30, of Sherwood was arrested on a charge of third-degree domestic battery after police were dispatched to the Links Apartments on East Kiehl Avenue regarding a disturbance.
Oct. 2
Arrests
Shawn Fuller, 22, of Sherwood was arrested on a charge of furnishing prohibited articles (C felony) after police were patrolling Kelso Road and observed a man carrying a duffel bag walking toward Arkansas 107. Officers contacted Fuller and when he showed police his identification, a dispatcher advised that a warrant had been issued for his arrest. Fuller was searched and a small plastic bag was found containing a green, leafy substance tucked in the left side of his pants near his waist.
Donna Anderson, 38, of Sherwood was arrested on charges of public intoxication and shoplifting after police were dispatched to the Harvest Foods on East Kiehl Avenue. Dowell Harsson, an employee, said he was working behind the meat counter when he noticed a woman pick up two T-bone steaks and put them in her purse. When he confronted Anderson, he said he noticed that she had a large bulge under her shirt. The steaks were valued at $50.
Accidents
Bea Hindman of Fairfield Bay said she was eating lunch at Jo Jo's BBQ on Country Club Road in Sherwood when she noticed damage to the right rear of her vehicle. Hindman said she was unsure how the damage occurred.
Incidents
Libby Williams, apartment manager for the New Britney Apartments on Jacksonville Cutoff Road, said the foundation to the apartment between apartments 115 and 117 had been struck by a vehicle. Williams said a tenant advised her that the vehicle that struck the building was a maroon-colored Oldsmobile. However, the tenant could not provide a license plate number and no apartment resident fits the description.
Thefts
Sharrol Frederick of Sherwood said someone entered her residence on Country Club Road and took about $150 in change from two coffee cans on the dresser in her bedroom. She said the intruder entered through the kitchen window, judging from items knocked over in the sink. No other items were missing.
William Tarter, an employee of Hidden Treasures on Arkansas 107, said he went to his wife's booth to check on his coins and noticed several of them missing from the cases inside the display case. Tarter said 125 coins were taken. The intruder pried the lock open to gain entry. Tarter said the coins are antique U.S. currency varying from large cents, half cents, two-cent pieces and half dollars. The coins are worth $3,000.
Kathy Baughman of Sherwood said her credit card number was being used around Sherwood. Baughman photocopied her Visa to send to Cricket Phone Co. An employee from Arbys in Sherwood contacted her saying that he found her photocopy in the parking lot. She asked him to destroy it. Baughman was then notified a few days later by her credit card company that a $600 charge was pending at T-Mobile in Sherwood and was advised that there were several other charges on the card within the city.

Accidents
Kristy Brown of Sherwood said she was crossing Brockington at Calloway roads when she was struck by a black Toyota driven by Janell Tangtong of Jacksonville. Police tried to contact Tangtong, leaving a message on her telephone voice mail.
Incidents
Cody Martin said he went camping and lost his wallet about 200 miles north of Atkins. Martin had a statement from his bank showing activity on his debit card since he had lost the wallet, including transactions at a Shell gas station in Atkins and at Phoenix Audio in North Little Rock.
Sharmyne Reed, an employee of Harvest Foods on East Kiehl Avenue in Sherwood, said an unidentified woman purchased milk and cereal with a forged $100 bill. The female left the store quickly and could not be found.
